Large-scale photovoltaic system put into operation

General energy costs no longer rise by the day, but almost by the hour. Therefore, in anticipation of future developments, corporate management developed a sustainable concept in order to determine the possibilities for in-house energy production.


In the course of the renovation of the “Fuchsbau” building, 29,000 square feet of solar modules were installed on the surface of the roof. The total output of the system is 310 KWp and the annual power production is about 300 MWh. At the same time, this results in an annual CO2 reduction of 550 tons. A total of 1,834 solar modules were braced on a surface of 29,000 square feet at an angle of 27º. This ensures optimized utilization of the available solar energy.


This installation is only the beginning of a strategic enhancement of environmentally compatible energy production.
Additional measures that are planned include the construction of a co-generation plant and investments on the recovery of waste heat.
